To whom it may concern:
I have one inquiry as to your stories on Cypress Gardens. Why have you
posted about five stories in
your news section about how the park had its last day of business on
Sunday and the State will not to anything to save it (which it shouldn't
because its a theme park...nothing special) because the property is
worth millions for development, when that is obviously not the case.
Earlier this week, Governor Bush directed state officials to meet with
the owner of the park on Wednesday to discuss acquisition of the land.

Please tell me that you just didn't have time to post it and that your
web page states things without telling the whole story.
Sincerely, A concerned citizen.
- Dear ______, Thanks for your note. You're correct,
had I known about it, I'd have posted it. I don't have as much time to
go through the news sources as I used to. As it is it takes over two
hours each time I put up the news.
So I rely heavily on people sending me articles and links that they
feel are important.
I don't know why I posted 5 articles on the Cypress Gardens story.
Sometimes I just post everything I find on a particular topic, like I
did on this story. I only read a few of them, and wasn't really seeing
it as a political issue.
I was sad to see it close - it meant a lot to so many people - and I
guess in my mind it was another chapter in the disappearance of "Old
Florida."
Please keep sending in your comments and articles you feel should be
posted.
All the best,
wfl
- Great website, but it's hard to
find things. It took me 10 minutes to find the DEP page. Clicking on
the Environment link doesn't get you there.

There is a link to DEP now in the Environment section, thanks.
