Life is tough in florida when your party is not in power

Bring back the democrats to power in Florida--remember their motto: "Intelligence is no virtue, Intergity is no vice. Karen Gievers does not need a state job  , she got rich off foster children several years ago. Janet Reno, it's very simple, just remember the innocent children in Waco and the the little child from Cuba.

So what is all this crapola about how to hide your e-mail address? Does the Webmaster thinks his audience is a pot-smoking, paranoid wimp like he is? Give me an effin' break. There's no hope for someone who thinks they are gonna be hounded for this pathetic page. John Gotti for Gov.

Clear the Bushes!Earlier I really thought our governor was the "smart" one...or, at least, the "fair" one.
Alas, and sadly...  the truth is beginning to make itself known.
Can we make enough people see this and help replace him?

"Looking for negativity is not where Florida or anyone needs to go." sums it up for me too.  I'm an independent FL voter.  If you have better suggestions than the current governor on how to run FL, let's hear them.   I think Jeb Bush has done a lot to improve FL.  He's going to win on his record -- and, yes, there are some things he does that I disagree with, but always finding fault, without offering any new solutions, is a huge turn-off.

Anybody know what article this writer is referencing? -
I just read where Al Cardenas and the Florida republican party are going to take steps to depress the voter turnout by the african-american community in the forthcoming elections.  This outrages me as a citizen!  Let me know what I can do to counteract this!

FLORIDA JUST A PAWN IN THE BUSH BROTHERS CHESS GAME!

The state of Florida belongs to GW!. On Election night, when early returns called the state for Gore, GW said, "That can't be because my little brother promised me Florida!". But when 'little brother' slipped up, GW went to his 5 cronies in the US Supreme Court and told them to stop the vote so he could have Florida and the US, they said, 'Sure GW and THEY DID. Our election decision was made by 5 RIGHT-WING thugs!

Bush Supporters --
Has anyone noticed  that "Jeb Bush" was elected governor without one vote being cast for him by a state employee who will now admit that he(or she) voted for him. I hope those who still have their jobs are happy with their decision now. ShadowSlayer, 7/8/01

Cathy - "I think Gov. Bush is doing a great job."
Shelby - "This Web Site is a discrace. You obviously have a problem.  Looking for negativity is not where Florida or anyone needs to go.  Your way of thinking is scary.  If you are supporting anyone who is running for political office God help us all." 7/08/01
(WF: These were form submissions, so we couldn't reply personally.  Cathy and Shelby -  could you be more specific.  Why do you think Gov. Bush is doing a great job? What is scary about the way of thinking you find represented here?)

THE CRYING HAS BEGUN
Dcf district fourteen--the whiners are on the move constantly complaining about the changes and that they are over worked. Strange thing, the child protection people always claimed they had the answers and could run the show---now they are crying the blues. One real thing though--at lunch time those hefers are out of the office chowing down

I viewed your introductory page and thought "perhaps someone will try to tell the real story of what is happening to government in Florida."  What I found in your articles was a bunch of wining about the presidential election and griping about national policies.  Why don't you change your name to demoflorida.com ... I have many concerns about allowing one individual (Mr. Bush) the power to mandate how or who controls state government.  This is an nightmare.  Mr. Bush has to be accountable (I would hope) and it is obvious that he does not know what he is doing - except that he and his friends will make alot of money!!

He is being very negligent in his decision making and it seems like there should be something "we the people of Florida - taxpayers and state workers" we can do to have the incompetent dishonest person he is - and he is doing it in a very sloppy manner.  How in the world did we allow someone this much power?? How did we allow him to make decisions and not be accountable for them?  Can't we have him removed from office.  I'm ready - is anyone else ready to start the process?

Whatever happened to the famous program 'One Florida'. It has disappeared from public sight, I wonder why? Wasn't this program supposed to be the best thing for Higher Education in Florida since the formation of the Union.

we pump it down one of those deep injection wells thought up by the
Legislature. Gripes I'm feelin faint.

 Educate the citizens of Florida!

Jeb Bush is simply an arrogant brat. It will take years to undo the damage he is creating in state government.  The ability for a DEP employee to deny a politically well-connected polluter a permit has ended.  Career services positions are being done away with.  We need to get him out soon and the only way to accomplish this is to educate the general public on what is really happening in state government.... dan, 5/18/01

It makes me mad to give the state over 15 years of my life and now my job could be taken and I have no protection against someone who decides to get rid of me.  I would like to say working for the Deparment of Children and families is very stressful and has taken a toll on my health.  This is the pay I get for being a faithful employee.

Subject: Senatorial Malfeasance
Malfeasance is the polite word for what your minions in the Senate did last week with the Service First bill.

It's also a violation of the State Code of Conduct. You should all remember that elected officials are also employees of the state.

You need to ask Jeb to re-read the last paragraph of his "favorite book," "Letter to Garcia," then introspectively ask if this administration is truly living up to the ideals so vocally espoused by this administration.

Actions speak louder than words. As a citizen I know where this state is heading and I will remember that it is not the poor state employees who are guilty but you and the rest of our elected officials.

We may not be able to fire you but we can certainly exercise our voting privileges -- even in Florida.

I will cast one republican vote for Bob Graham (D) in 2002, Who else is with me? Here's a link, if enough people ask maybe he will come home to run for Governor and straighten this mess out. Larry, Cedar Key. 4/11/01
